Cody started his aviation career as a  CH-47 helicopter mechanic in the Army. He earned a degree in aviation and is an active CFI, CFII, and MEI with a Gold Seal Flight Instructor certificate. Cody holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and is a prior Instructor and Captain on the CRJ-200, CRJ-700, and CRJ-900 aircraft. He currently flies around the world in a Boeing 757 and 767 for a major airline.

When not at work he flies the C-47, W7, for the National Warplane Museum and has plans to conquer more warbirds in the future. His favorite flying involves anything with a tailwheel into a quiet grass strip.
